BRING A PARTNER. BRING A PLAN.

MAKE YOUR NEXT
COURT SESSION
MORE INTENTIONAL.

If your usual practice is a few warm-up dinks followed by another game, this gives those minutes a specific job.

Take turns feeding and practicing. Work through one clear session. Record a score and a useful cue for next time.

You’ll need: a partner, paddles, balls, a pickleball court and a pen. Eye protection is recommended for controlled volley drills.

02 / YOUR NEXT TWO WEEKS

SIX SESSIONS.
ONE CLEAR PLAN.

Practice on Days 1, 3, 6, 8, 11 and 14. The days in between leave room for rest, optional play and review.

  1. DAY 01

    Find your control leaks.

Set a baseline with forehand dinks, backhand dinks and compact blocks.

    BASELINE
  2. DAY 03

    Keep your dinks under control.

Practice straight-ahead and crosscourt targets with a manageable pace.

    DINKS
  3. DAY 06

    Reset instead of forcing it.

Work on a compact, softer response after a predictable bounce.

    RESETS
  4. DAY 08

    Block fast balls with control.

Meet controlled feeds with a stable paddle and less backswing.

    BLOCKS
  5. DAY 11

    Choose your attack.

Read your balance, contact height and open space before choosing a response.

    DECISIONS
  6. DAY 14

    Put it together.

Repeat the original checks, compare your notes and choose your next focus.

    RECHECK

*Each court session is about 20 minutes shared by two players. Reading time is extra. Finish the counted attempts even if your session takes longer.

A GOOD FIT IF…

YOU KNOW THE GAME.
YOU WANT BETTER PRACTICE.

This plan is for recreational players who already know pickleball’s basic rules and can practice cooperatively with a partner.

It focuses on the kitchen game: dinks, resets, blocks and decisions. It’s a self-guided practice tool; it doesn’t include video lessons, personal coaching or a skill-rating assessment.

BEFORE YOU STEP ON COURT

GOOD QUESTIONS.

Is this a video course?

It’s an illustrated PDF pack. You follow numbered images, court maps, short explanations and drill cards. There are no video lessons.

Can I practice on my own?

The six court sessions are designed for two players taking turns feeding and practicing. You can read and review alone, but you’ll need a partner for the drills and scorecards.

Do I have to practice every day?

No. The calendar has six required sessions on Days 1, 3, 6, 8, 11 and 14. Other days are for rest, optional play or review.

Is this suitable for a complete beginner?

It assumes you know the basic rules and can cooperate with a partner at a controlled pace. It isn’t a full introduction to pickleball or a substitute for individual instruction.

How do I track my progress?

You record 10 forehand dinks, 10 backhand dinks and 10 blocks at the start, then repeat the same checks on Day 14. Keep each score separate and compare your notes. These checks are a practice record, not a DUPR or other skill rating, and improvement isn’t guaranteed.

Can I use it on my phone or print it?

Yes. It’s a PDF you can read on a phone, tablet or computer, or print. The drill cards and tracking sheets can be printed separately.
